Tyler Childers - Country Squire

As Technical Director on the "Country Squire" music video for Tyler Childers, the role sat within a wider animation team and spanned lighting, rendering, texturing, and simulated FX. On the TD side, responsibilities included keeping the pipeline healthy — identifying bottlenecks, making technical calls, and troubleshooting issues as they came up throughout production.

Simulation work spanned several shots and techniques, all built inside SideFX Houdini. FLIP fluids and POP simulations handled the spit and droplet effects, vellum grains and cloth drove the exploding snowman sequence, and pyro-advected hair simulation was used to generate the cotton-like gunshot effect — a deliberate creative choice to complement the stop-motion visual style of the piece.
